About P.C. Anand :-

Mr.P.C.Anand is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has over 40 years years of industrial and consulting experience. He has specialized in indirect taxes like Excise, Customs, Service Tax and Foreign Exchange Management. He advises a number of manufacturing and other industries and appears before the various quasi judicial officials, the appellate bodies as also the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Mr.Anand presently heads the Consultancy firm M/s.Chakravarthy Associates. He was associated with the World Bank for certain consultancy work in India. He is a visiting faculty at the Institute of Financial Management and Research [IFMR] and National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics [NACEN], the Central Government training academy for Government servants

He was earlier associated with the World Bank for certain consultancy assignments in India in connection with urban development. As a Chartered Accountant of the batch of 1974, he served as a Senior Finance Manager at M/s.Best & Crompton Engineering Limited till 1986 when he commenced indirect tax practice.

He is a visiting faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Financial Management and Research (IFMR) and National Academy of Customs Excise and Narcotics (NACEN) - the Central Government training academy for government servants working in the Excise, Customs and Narcotics department. He has been invited to present papers by the various professional bodies like Chartered Accountants, Company Secretary’s and Cost & Works Accountants Institutes.

He contributes articles on Excise, Customs and Service Tax matters to The Hindu, The Business Line and other professional publications.

He was earlier elected as the President of Institute of Internal Auditors, Madras Chapter, a body associate of the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA. He was the founder member and later the Vice-President of the Institute of Information Systems Audit & Control Association, Madras Chapter, a body associate of the Institute of Information Systems Audit & Control Association of USA.
